Welcome to the Wild Bread Bakehouse

The award-winning Wild Bread Bakehouse sprung to life in

Faversham, Kent in 2013.

 

We specialise in hand-crafted Real sourdough bread made using organic grains and other organic, natural ingredients. All our products are naturally leavened with wild yeasts and contain no added bakers yeast. They are also 100% plant-based!

 

Organic flour, water and natural sea salt - just three simple ingredients are all that we use to create what we believe is the best bread you can sink your teeth into. The way it was originally made thousands of years ago!

 

The long, natural fermentation process maximises the nutritional value, digestibility and keeping quality of every loaf, and creates an exceptional, tangy flavour and moist, chewy crumb.

 

We are passionate about baking for our community and are proud members of the Real Bread Campaign & Produced in Kent.

Why Sourdough

Sourdough’ is any bread leavened with naturally occurring wild yeasts and lactobacilli, and without the use of manufactured bakers yeast. It is as simple as flour and water, and making it can be just as simple.
